A room for the records you return to

Your collection has stories. Give a few of them a room.

MyVinyl Record Rooms bring selected records together around an idea, with shelves and context to make a collection feel personal —and a link to share it with someone else.

Start with a free MyVinyl account, then connect Discogs to import your collection.

A personal way to gather records around a feeling.

Curation, with room to breathe

Not every record needs to tell the same story.

A Record Room is a way to shape a part of your collection—not a replacement for the complete imported Collection.

  1. 01

Start with a point of view

Bring together the records you want to revisit, whether the thread is a sound, a time, or simply a few favorites.

  2. 02

    Give the records context

Arrange selections on shelves and add the room introduction that helps someone understand what connects them.

  3. 03

    Share a Room, not assumptions

Share a link to a public Room. Its page shows published Room content—not automatically every record in your Discogs import.

A clear view of privacy

Discoverable by default. Private when you choose it.

New profiles are discoverable by default, and new Record Rooms are public by default. When a profile is discoverable, other people can see its published Rooms and the Room content marked public.

Your imported Discogs Collection has its own visibility setting. Its public Collection page can show the active imported records when that Collection is Discoverable and the profile is discoverable. That Collection view is separate from the records and shelves shown in individual public Rooms.

Set your profile to Private to hide your profile, Collection, Rooms, and shelves from other people—including content that would otherwise be public. MyVinyl is not affiliated with or endorsed by Discogs.
