I'm a musician, audiophile, and vinyl collector. Records have come to represent more to me than collections of recorded sounds. My record collection has become a map of my life.

There are records I bought when I was young. Records I found in little shops while traveling. Records friends turned me onto. Records that remind me of particular places, particular seasons, and particular people. Some are worn and played to death. Others are still wrapped in plastic, waiting for the right Sunday morning.

I love the physicality of it all—the sleeves, the artwork, the notes, the needle dropping into the groove. The pops and cracks and hums. I love standing in front of a shelf and agonizing over what I want to hear without an algorithm deciding for me.

But I also live in a digital world.

I spend most of my time outside of my living room. My collection was cataloged on Discogs, but I wanted something more personal: a digital home for my analog life. A place where I could see the whole collection, arrange it the way I think about it, pull a few records together because they belong together, and share it with people who might enjoy it, too.

So I built MyVinyl.

MyVinyl is not meant to replace the record shelf. It’s a digital bridge to our private analog life. A place where your music collection feels less like a database and more like a reflection of the person who built it.
